Tournament remembers Santa Fe student | Events

Volleyball players, friends and family members will be remembering a standout player with a memorial volleyball tournament this weekend.

The 5th annual Heather Harkeness Memorial Volleyball Tournament will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 a.m. at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Heather Harkness was an active student at Edmond Santa Fe, served as the DECA chapter historian and a member of the varsity girls’ volleyball team.

She died after surgery on Sept. 9, 2008.

The event is $25 per player or $150 per team.

Each team will receive an official tournament t-shirt with a meal of Heather’s favorite foods, music and childcare.

Admission into the tournament is $6 per person.

Proceeds from the event will fund the Heather Harkness P.A.C.K. scholarships.
